Uses of Euthyrox 25 mcg 100 tablets:

In some cases, levothyroxine may be used to treat an overactive thyroid gland (hypothyroidism).
This is done when an overactive thyroid gland has a harmful effect on the body or when hyperthyroidism occurs after the overactive thyroid has been treated.
Some patients suffer from cysts in the thyroid gland, which may respond to thyroid hormone therapy, so levothyroxine can be used to control these cysts and reduce their symptoms.
It is used to replace the deficiency of thyroid hormone (thyroxine) in case of hypothyroidism.
Helps restore thyroid function and improve hormonal balance in the body.

Pregnant women who suffer from hypothyroidism must take levothyroxine, as not taking this drug causes problems for the fetus (such as miscarriage, and pre-eclampsia), so treatment must be continued, and the level of thyroid-stimulating hormone must be measured during each pregnancy and 6-8 weeks after delivery.
Pregnant women may need to increase the dose of this medicine.
It is recommended not to concomitantly take levothyroxine with the following medications: oral anticoagulants (warfarin), tricyclic antidepressants, estrogens, and imatinib.
It is recommended to consult a doctor about the use of levothyroxine for breastfeeding women, because a small amount of levothyroxine may be excreted in breast milk.
It is preferable to tell the doctor or pharmacist about all medications, herbs, vitamins, and nutritional supplements before starting treatment.
